Once becoming a mom I wanted to become a source of strength for my children. Not just physical strength, but a type of strength where I led by example in all facets of life. I wanted to show them that regardless of how difficult life may get, you can do it all.
Strength, Love, Beauty
A Little About Myself
Welcome and thank you for visiting! My name is Keri Shaw and I’m married to 4x World’s Strongest Man Brian Shaw and together we have two beautiful children, Braxton (2 years) and Kellen (7 months). Becoming a mother has changed me in every way, which I’m sure most parents can relate to, but what I was surprised to learn was that motherhood has taught me about strengths of my own that I never realized I possessed. While I have an extensive background in fitness – from collegiate soccer and bikini competitions to strongman and actually owning and operating my own CrossFit facility – I still had great self doubt about loving and accepting myself, and specifically my body, after having children. What I discovered was that you can become a better woman, physically, mentally and emotionally, after having kids. That is what this page is about. I hope through sharing my experiences I can inspire you to become the woman you want to be.
There is nothing as powerful as a mother’s unconditional love. Remember this always. We are planting the seed that our children will base their lives on and that is the belief that the ability to achieve starts in your mind. As you teach this to your children, continue to teach this to yourself daily. You can and will become whatever you believe.
As moms, I feel that we are so hard on ourselves. We feel that we are constantly failing. We feel that pregnancy and lack of sleep have ruined our beauty. I urge you to remember that in the eyes, heart and mind of your children, you are the most beautiful, super(wo)man there is. Try to see yourself through your children’s eyes.
